The Senate confirmed lawyer and politician John Ratcliffe to serve as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency in a 74-25 vote on Thursday. After years in his legal career, Ratcliffe was elected mayor of Heath, Texas from 2004-2012, and then served as representative for Texas’s 4th district from 2015-2020.
