    • Day 45: Following the wishes of conscience
ABC News reports that Al Green is believed to be the first lawmaker in modern history to be thrown out of a joint session of Congress or a State of the Union address, according to a presidential historian. While there have been a handful of US House censures in recent years, none involved protests of presidential actions, which are generally seen as falling under freedom of speech.
    • Day 44: This clown needs to check his privilege
In an interview on Fox News Monday night, Vice President JD Vance sparked new outrage when he commented on Saturday’s emergency peacekeeping summit held in London by European leaders with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
    • Day 31: We stood up to a king
The Trump administration on Wednesday terminated approval of New York City congestion pricing, stating that the federal government has jurisdiction over New York highways and that the additional tolls “posed an unfair burden for motorists outside the city.” Following the announcement, Trump posted to the official White House X account a meme photo of himself with a crown on a mock cover of Time magazine, written as Trump magazine.
    • DAY 30: He lives in this disinformation space
Trump also reiterated claims made by Musk that millions of dead people are receiving Social Security checks. He read through a chart of Social Security recipients by age bracket, the same chart Musk posted on X late Monday. “But now we’re going really in.  People from 130 years old to 139 years old: 3,936,000.  Wow.  I wonder if people are getting paid with all this.  I mean, are these checks — and that’s what we’re checking right now.”
    • DAY 29: Not my President’s Day
Democratic Sens. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts expressed serious concerns about potential misuse of private taxpayer data in a letter to the IRS on Monday. The senators asked the IRS commissioner to provide details about any plans to allow DOGE members access to internal IRS systems.
    • DAY 28: They wiped all of my files
The White House has confirmed that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency will be granted access to an Internal Revenue Service database that contains the personal tax information of millions of Americans. Confusion had escalated over the weekend as to whether the data had already been accessed and by whom.
    • DAY 27: Diversity is better for the bottom line
Also today, the NAACP released their Black Consumer Advisory guide to inform Black consumers about corporations that have recommitted to diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI) efforts. Recognizing the $1.7 trillion purchasing power that Black consumers contribute annually, the guide aims to direct spending toward companies that prioritize investment in Black communities and values.
